The World’s Poultry Science Association (WPSA) Pakistan Branch proudly marked its strong and impactful presence at the International Poultry Exhibition (IPEX) 2025, held in Lahore from 23rd to 25th October 2025. This prestigious three-day event served as a major platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and showcasing innovations within the poultry sector, bringing together industry leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs, students, and international stakeholders under one roof.

Under the dynamic leadership of President Mr. Mian Sohaib Javaid and Secretary General Dr. Farhan Farooq, the WPSA Pakistan Branch stall attracted significant attention throughout the exhibition. With an estimated footfall of around 20,000 visitors over the course of the event, the stall became a hub of interaction for professionals and enthusiasts eager to learn about WPSA’s role, mission, and ongoing contributions to the development of the poultry industry in Pakistan and beyond. Visitors included poultry farmers, academicians, students, corporate representatives, policymakers, and delegates from both national and international backgrounds.

The WPSA Pakistan Branch actively engaged attendees by highlighting its academic, professional, and industry-oriented initiatives, emphasizing its commitment to promoting poultry science, research, education, and sustainable industry practices. The stall also served as a meeting point for members and well-wishers, strengthening existing relationships and fostering new collaborations. One of the key highlights of the exhibition was the executive dinner hosted by the President of WPSA Pakistan Branch. This gathering provided an excellent opportunity for constructive dialogue and strategic discussions regarding future activities and priorities of the branch. During this meeting, two major events for the year 2026 were officially approved: the Karachi Poultry Science Conference and the Incubation and Fertility Conference to be held in Lahore. These upcoming events reflect WPSA Pakistan’s proactive approach toward addressing emerging challenges, promoting scientific advancements, and strengthening capacity building within the poultry industry.

The active participation of WPSA student members during IPEX 2025 was particularly encouraging, demonstrating the branch’s strong commitment to nurturing young professionals and future leaders in poultry science. Their presence underscored WPSA Pakistan’s focus on mentorship, education, and youth engagement as essential pillars for long-term industry growth.
