Dr. Khurram Shahbaz is a distinguished veterinary professional currently serving as Special Projects Facilitator – South Asia at the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC). He holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, complemented by diplomas and specialized short courses in Poultry Sciences, Avian Influenza, and Poultry Biologicals. With over 14 years of extensive experience in Pakistan’s poultry and dairy industry, Dr. Shahbaz has organized and led numerous seminars, workshops, and training sessions aimed at advancing industry standards and practices. Earlier in his career, Dr. Shahbaz worked with leading organizations such as the French multinational Ceva Animal Health, where he served as Technical and Marketing Manager for South Asia. In this role, he provided critical technical support to poultry farmers across the region, strengthening production and biosecurity practices. In 2018, he joined USSEC as the Country Representative for Pakistan, later advancing to his current role as Special Project Facilitator – South Asia. Since 2022, he has been overseeing the Soy Excellence Center activities, driving capacity building and knowledge exchange across multiple South Asian countries. Dr. Shahbaz’s career reflects a steadfast commitment to enhancing animal health, fostering industry collaboration, and supporting sustainable practices across the poultry and feed sectors in the region.
