A joint meeting of the WPSA Pakistan (North Zone) and the R&D Committee was held in Rawalpindi, with key ongoing and upcoming activities reviewed in the presence of the North Zone Cabinet and the Secretary General of WPSA Pakistan.
One of the major ongoing initiatives includes a collaborative research trial with HATO Lighting Pakistan. This study, led by the North Zone and Director R&D team, focuses on evaluating the impact of lighting on hunger and satiety in poultry. The project underscores the zone’s commitment to promoting evidence-based advancements in poultry production.

Student Counseling Seminar
Scheduled for 4th September 2025 at Poonch University, AJK, this event aims to guide and motivate students under the WPSA North Zone initiative.
Lab Analytics in Nutrition Training
To be held at PMAS-Arid Agriculture University, this session will enhance participants’ technical skills in feed evaluation and laboratory analytics.
Small-Scale Family Poultry Training for Women
Organized in Islamabad, this program—led by Dr. Shahid Mehmood (UVAS) and Dr. Nasir Mukhtar—is designed to empower rural women through practical poultry production training.
Conference on Fertility, Incubation, and Hatchery Technology & AI in Breeder Workshop
To be organized at UVAS under the leadership of Dr. Jibran Hussain, these events will explore modern hatchery practices and the role of artificial intelligence in breeder management.
One Health Seminar
Planned at NUST, Islamabad, this seminar will be led by Dr. Khurram Shahbaz, focusing on the interconnectedness of animal, human, and environmental health in the context of poultry.
